Fran Berger, Principal, founded WriteAway after a 25-year career in radio management.  Her clients have ranged from The Harvard Business Press and the Harvard Club to the Woods Hole Film Festival.  She has written about scientific research for Healthscout.com, politics for Thirdage.com and coordinated projects on World War II for the AARP magazine and website. She has worked with individual fine artists and musicians as well as run the Public Relations offices for a local college where she also curated an art gallery.

She is a Past President of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce and has been a citizen advocate on cable television issues for the Town of Brookline for more than 20 years.  She received her B.S. from Boston University and her Master’s from Harvard.

Jerry Berger, Principal, is a strategic communicator with expertise in public relations, media relations, crisis management and social media. Trained as a journalist, he has reported from the Massachusetts Statehouse, taught future journalists and worked within state government.

His health care experience includes managing crisis communications at a Boston hospital in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing. His freelance reporting has appeared in Columbia Journalism Review and he has been a frequent commentator on Massachusetts government and politics. He received a B.A. from Boston University and a Master’s from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
